We are an independent insurance brokers group that is 100% member owned and operated.
In 1986, five independent Bay Area agents, all-struggling with limited market access for their clients, decided to come together and they established Atlantic Pacific Insurance Brokers. After 31 years and with very little revision to their initial model, their innovative alliance continues to provide member agents with the highest quality markets available to best meet the needs of their clients.

What sets Atlantic Pacific apart from most other agency group organizations is the fact that 100% of all commissions and Profit Sharing payments go directly to our member agents. Each member pays a nominal monthly fee to cover the basic operating expenses of the administrative office. In addition, at Atlantic Pacific Insurance Brokers, your voice counts! We follow a democratic business model, with each member agent getting one vote in the decision making process of the organization.

Over the years, we have evolved to become more of an association than a service provider. Member agents operate their own separate agencies with no production quotas or market access limitations unless imposed by a specific carrier. Our screening process for new members may be a bit more time consuming than other organizations but we feel that our success speaks for itself.
